I am working on an MA in Irish and hope eventually to go into Celtic philology. I am not a druid. My undergraduate work was in Japanese and linguistics. I am not that into anime. I have worked as a line cook in a French restaurant, a professional translator of Japanese porn comics, an assistant English teacher in France, and a barista. I can do latte art.
I almost never listen to music. I don't watch television. I don't own a watch, cell phone, or umbrella. As a result, I spend a lot of time lost in my own thoughts, am unbelievably out of touch with the world, usually late, impossible to get ahold of, and dripping wet when it rains. I manage to get by anyway. And even now that I own all those things, I'm still no better at getting along like a normal person...
My two passions in life are food and books. In matters relating to either of these, I am very picky and snobbish. In all other things, I tend to be annoyingly indifferent. Despite this, I have a lot of other (constantly changing) interests.
I can make analogies comparing anything to ice cream.
